Gas Testing & Certificates

If you have any gas appliances in your property, it’s essential to make sure they are all safe, reliable and compliant. Failure to do so could put you at risk. That’s why the Sevex team offer a range of gas testing and certificate issuing services, helping keep your home, business or tenants safe.

Compliance Certificates

After installing a heat producing gas appliance at your property such as a new boiler, a Gas Safe Registered engineer should issue you with a building regulations compliance certificate.

This ensures your local authority is informed of the installation and you should receive it within 28 days of job completion. Appliance gas safety checks should then be completed annually, and this is a legal requirement for landlords.

Here at Sevex, we can help you with all your annual gas testing, ensuring appliances remain compliant with UK safety standards.

Why Do You Need Gas Testing?

Testing your gas appliances is an important way to keep you, your family and property safe, ensuring they’re checked and serviced on an annual basis. One of the greatest risks of leaving gas appliances unchecked for longer than a manufacturer’s instructions is carbon monoxide poisoning which you can’t hear, smell, see or taste. Let us know when your appliances need inspecting, and we’ll book this in for you, completing testing of each device at the same time so that you can avoid organising multiple callouts. You can also ask for a one-off inspection if you have any concerns, including when something isn’t working as it should, you notice a flame is yellow rather than blue, or there are dark stains around a gas appliance.
